Evaluation

Evaluation:

Starting the unit I was shown how the animation was done in video games and the initial tasks of rigging the digger was the start and basics of animations, and the introduction to the unit and this gave me a really good understanding on how to use light wave for animations. We then moved to animation the bat and cow, those were a little different to rigging compared to the digger, this was a little more challenging since it was a step forward to the basics and found it helpful watching tutorial videos. Next we had to start creating our puppet rig with the pre-created assets that was given to us, this was a simple process to build as I am familiar with the modeler software. I then had to rig this by using the skelegon tool in modeler which created some sort of bones to move the puppet with, this was quite a simple process as well with the video tutorials we already done and completed.

Once the skelegons were in place and converted in light wave I then had to start animating, I did find some problems along the way with my puppet rig leg's as they were not rotating properly, I had to fix that. Once it was fixed  through the animating commenced and I got through it pretty quick and efficiently. The only problem I had was the time, I did not realised that the deadline and I need an extra extended days to complete everything  including the animations but other than that I need to finish up. With this unity I though I did okay on this, again the only thing that I would improve is my time management which was also the problem on some of my other units, but I think the only reason I have been having these issues with time, because I was away before the easter break and I've missed a few weeks on this task due to an emergency and I needed to catch up on this task as I got back, but I was managing to sort it out and was able to catch up but again need some more time. Overall I am happy what I did with this unit and how it turned out.
